About Harvey
Harvey Martin studied at Stourbridge College of Art & Design before completing a BA (Hons) in Painting and Print-making at Wolverhampton University. He has been painting ever since — for many years working outdoors, en plein air, producing finished works on location.
In the studio, Harvey has a particular interest in figure painting told in a narrative vein, with some work influenced by Biblical stories or drawn from scenes of everyday life. His paintings range from Welsh and Scottish landscapes to London cityscapes, sporting portraits and still life.
"I started drawing at 25 and went to college age 40. I have painted ever since. These last few years I have been painting outside producing finished works."
